Never underestimate the kindness of strangers when you're traveling! We met this young man, Paulo, when my cousin and I were lost in a small port city in Italy, La Spezia, that we knew very little about.
Most people we met on the street knew little or no English at all and when we reached a highway that hardly had any pedestrians (except for us), we found this little cafeteria whose owners were kind enough to direct us the right way to reach our destination - Port Venere - not only that, they also offered to drive us to the nearest bus station to avoid walking in the sun!
If you trust your gut, and place enough faith and trust in your heart towards others, you are in for a real treat. And more importantly, if you stay open enough and moderately cautious, you will experience adventures beyond your wildest dreams! That's the stuff that fulfilling lives are made of :)

Deletei've experienced some strangers kindness, 4 years ago we were in Turkey, we stayed in Istanbul, and they told us there's an outlet mall in Izmir we were excited shoooooooooooping babe :P, Me, my husband and his friend and his wife and two kids we took a map and began our journey 9:00am, we spent an amazing day and and we began our journey back to the hotel around 6:00 pm and we forgot how to go back as we were alone with no guide and no speaks English looooool after two or three hours we found an officer who told us directions, and we were on our way back, and no the story doesn't end here, we reached istanbul around 11 we were not just tired we were walking like zombies and guess what we were lost again loooooooooooooool we stood in the middle of the street laughing to death we could sleep in the street but there were kids , people were passing by laughing on us and of course they don't know any English word except helloooooooooo !!!!!!! finally a bus driver was passing by after he finished his shift and thank God he knew some English words, guess what we were lost just two blocks away from our hotel but in the back street, he insisted that he'll walk with us until the front door when i saw the hotel i was about to hug the front door looooooooooooooool
